Passionate About Education!

Someone recently asked Chris what are her passions in life. Chris responded immediately that two of those passions have to do with education: learning and teaching.

Chris is a lifelong learner. Born and raised on a farm among a large family, she learned the values of family and teamwork. She gained much knowledge through her degrees in education. Chris loves to teach about what she has learned! Chris recognizes the desire of many people to understand farming, especially children. Families drive slowly by the Fesko's farm to look at the animals and crops. Many even stop to take photos. Using her knowledge, enthusiasm and sense of humor, Chris is filling that void of understanding through speaking and conducting workshops. She also uses a range of media, including her video series and the Discovery Center.

The On The Farm video series is a spell-binding expression of Chris' educational approach. Her videos give you a close-up, realistic view of modern farm life. The Discovery Center provides a facility and forum for multi-disciplined activities (math, science and language arts). Problem based learning is captured in several curricula that Chris has developed for teachers and children. Hands-on activities directed by Chris engage most of the senses and the scenic views from the Discovery Center are awesome! Open house events are often scheduled at the Discovery Center throughout the summer months for individuals to visit. Field trips and group visits may be arranged by appointment.
